Douglas A. Martin is the author of books of both poetry and prose, including the lyric narrative Your Body Figured. His work Outline of My Lover was praised in the TLS as an International Book of the Year and adapted in part by the Forsythe Company for the multimedia ballet/live film Kammer/Kammer. Other books include Branwell, a novel of the Bronte brother; Once You Go Back, an autobiographical fiction; and They Change the Subject, a collection of stories. He is also the author of volumes of poetry, including the haiku year coauthored with friends. His work has been translated into Italian, Portuguese and Japanese. He teaches poetry and fiction and writing between genres in the low residency MFA Program in Creative Writing at Goddard College.
