James Pollock is the author of Sailing to Babylon (Able Muse Press, 2012), and You Are Here: Essays on the Art of Poetry in Canada (The Porcupine's Quill, 2012). His poems have been published in The Paris Review, The National Post, Poetry Daily, AGNI, and many other periodicals in the U.S. and Canada, broadcast on CBC Radio, and listed in Best Canadian Poetry. His critical essays and reviews have appeared in Contemporary Poetry Review, Books in Canada, Arc Poetry Magazine, and elsewhere. He is an associate professor at Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa, and teaches poetry in the creative writing program. He lives with his wife and son in Madison, Wisconsin.
