Katherine Eggert teaches in the Department of English at the University of Colorado Boulder, where she is the director of the Center of British and Irish Studies. She is a scholar of English Renaissance literature and culture, ranging across the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries and across the genres of drama, poetry, and prose. She has also published on Shakespeare on film. Her new book, Disknowledge: Literature, Alchemy, and the End of Humanism in Renaissance England, will be published by the University of Pennsylvania Press in September 2015.
