Rikki Ducornet is the author of eight novels, three collections of short stories and a book of essays, as well as books of poetry. She has received both a Lannan Fellowship and the Lannan Award for Fiction, a Bunting Fellowship and an Academy Award in Literature.  Her books are widely published abroad, and two books—Entering Fire and The One Marvelous Thing—will be published in French translation by Cambourakis and Gallimard in October of 2013. A painter as well as a writer, she has exhibited widely, most recently In San Miguel de Allende and Santiago, Chile. She is currently completing a book of essays, The Deep Zoo, and has begun a novel.
