Seung-Jae Lee is of Korean descent; was born and raised in Japan; moved to the U.S. as a teenager; and has been cross-pollinating influences between multiple cultures and environments ever since. He received an architecture degree from Syracuse University, is a licensed architect in New York State and has been a visiting architectural critic at New York Institute of Technology and New Jersey Institute of Technology. Jae’s work has been exhibited at Storefront for Art and Architecture and he has designed stage sets for numerous dance performances in NYC. In 2003 he co-founded m-USE Architects as a multi-disciplinary architecture and design laboratory.
