Bin Ramke intended to become a mathematician, but studied literature at LSU and eventually received a Ph.D. from Ohio University. He taught in Georgia, now teaches at the University of Denver and sometimes at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. His most recent book is Missing the Moon (Omnidawn, 2014).
