Noor Al-Samarrai is a poet and performer from California. As a Fulbright Fellow in Amman, she collected oral histories for a book-in-progress about the emotional history of Baghdad. Her first book, El Cerrito, was published by Inside the Castle Press and recognized by the Arab American book awards.
