Brent Hendricks’s first card-deck collection of poems, Thaumatrope, was published by Action Books in 2007. “The King of Spades” will appear in his second card-deck. He is also the author of a nonfiction book about the Tri-State Crematory Scandal, forthcoming from Farrar, Straus and Giroux.
