Susan Paddon was born and grew up in St. Thomas, Ontario, attended McGill and Concordia in Montreal, and lived overseas in Paris and London before settling in Margaree, Nova Scotia. Her poems have appeared in Arc, CV2, The Antigonish Review, Geist, Best Poetry in Canada among others. Her first collection of poems, Two Tragedies in 429 Breaths, was the winner of the 2015 J.M. Abraham East Coast Literary Award and nominated for the Raymond Souster Award.
