Sam Witt is the author of three poetry collections, Everlasting Quail (UPNE, 2001), winner of the Katherine Nason Bakeless Prize, and Sunflower Brother (Cleveland State University Press, 2006) and Little Domesday Clock.  He has taught at Harvard University, University of Missouri-Kansas City, and at Whitman College.  Witt received a Fulbright Fellowship to live and write in Saint Petersburg, Russia in 2002.  Witt has participated in poetry festivals at Druskininkai and Vilnius at the invitation of the Lithuanian government. He has been a resident at the Breadloaf Writers’ Conference and at Yaddo; his poems have been published in Virginia Quarterly, Harvard Review, Georgia Review, Denver Quarterly, Colorado Review, Fence, New England Review and many other journals.
