Slice the sweet potatoes

on a mandoline. Layer

the orange discs in a blue

casserole. Chop rosemary.

Let the air of autumn almost

winter in. Melt butter, add

cream. Slather with a spoon,

fingers. Pour milk. Scatter

parmesan. The oven is ready,

the wine is open. How can

such goodness abide, you gone?

Sit at the table. Say Grace.
