Dale Smith is a poet and critic living in Toronto, ON. His book Poets Beyond the Barricade: Rhetoric, Citizenship, and Dissent after 1960 was recently published by the University of Alabama Press. His poems, essays, and reviews have appeared in Bookforum, Chicago Review, Jacket, and elsewhere. He is an assistant professor of rhetoric and poetics at Ryerson University.
