Zarmina Rafi (Toronto and Lahore) is a poet, translator, multi-lingual speaker, arts writer and consultant on contemporary South Asian art. Recent work published in Drunken Boat (U.S.) and 26 Poets from Pakistan: Vallum International Poetics (Canada). Recipient of multiple writing awards and provincial artist grants. Recent projects: short curatorial talks developed for the Art Gallery of Mississauga (Summer, 2013) and initiation of a knowledge exchange project in inner city Lahore which allows public history to come together with formal record-keeping, translation to be attendant to the language of the everyday, and ruin to be witnessed in high-res.
